Marriage


Marriage can be assumed as the relationship of a man and woman to have a relationship and living together for a common goal. When the transition to all communities consider important is the transition from level to level juvenile life family life, namely marriage. In human culture, marriage is a regulator of human behavior related to sex life. Marriage restricts a person to sexual intercourse with the opposite sex other than their husband or wife. Marriage has various functions in human social life, namely, to give protection to the children of the marriage, fulfill the human need for a life partner, and also maintains good relations with certain groups of relatives.
Restrictions mate in marriage

All people in the world have restrictions on the selection of a mate for their members. In each community, people have to marry outside the boundaries of a particular environment.

The term is exogami. Opponents of term exogami is endogamy, where people must marry someone from their own group. There is also a marriage or marriage preferences are becoming common preference, meaning that there was a marriage that is very desirable by most people and are considered ideal marriage. Nuclear family (extended family) is the smallest core in a society that has functions terentu, typically nuclear family consisting of a husband / father, wife / mother, and children who are not married (Soekanto, 1990). Meanwhile, according to Haviland (1993), the nuclear family (nuclear family) is the basic unit consisting of mother, father, and children who do not stand alone. Family Function Core

Family functions according Gunarsa (1995) are:
  1. Getting offspring and raising children
  2. Give affection / love, support, and familiarity
  3. Develop personality
  4. Regulate the division of duties, instilling obligations, rights and responsibilities
  5. Teach and pass on customs, culture, religion, and moral system in children.

In line with the function of the family that has been stated previously, Soekanto (1990) suggested that the nuclear family (extended family) is the smallest unit in society that has the basic functions, namely:
  1. As social lasts primary container, which is where children are educated to understand and embrace the norms and values prevailing in society
  2. As socio-economic units that form the basis of socio-economic life for children.
  3. As a container shelter, so that the life takes place in an orderly and peaceful, so that people live in peace.
Furthermore Gunarsa (1995) suggested that the main condition for the smooth implementation of the family function is the creation of a good family atmosphere. A family atmosphere where every child can develop themselves with the help of parents and siblings.

Understanding Group
The group is a collection of two or more people who interact and they are inter-dependent (interdependent) in order to meet the needs and objectives together, led to mutually influence each other.

Kinship three groups based on social function
